Juan Sebastian Roldan Romero: Psychologically Tough |
|

|
Juan’s mother has wanted this surgery for her son since he was born. His
mother believes that “This surgery will help him psychologically,
because having this deformity has made him psychologically tough. This
stage of his life is tough because kids will place names on him and say
ugly things to him which have made him shy away from his group. Getting this new ear will be a major step and it is going to help him be a lot stronger with her self-esteem.”
Although Juan is only 7 years old, he has future dreams of becoming an accountant – which is the same profession as his father! Juan’s mother said she “wants to thank the doctors from the bottom of her heart. These services are wonderful to have in our country, but I would imagine that the needs are even greater in other places. It
is especially great for you all to do this sort of thing for people who
don’t have a lot of resources and money to get this surgery since it is
very expensive.”
